If you start with a boring sentence, your reader is not going to be interested. Write the following on the board: I Paragraph 1. Today we will review the 3 sentences that make up the I paragraph. Remind students that the “I” paragraph should be kept short and simple. The introduction paragraph is three simple sentences and it is set up exactly the same way they were taught in section 1.
